The ayurvedic approach to skin care and beauty is the most solid and sustainable one. Though time consuming, ayurvedic treatments can helps you in maintaining the beauty and quality of your skin. Follow the ayurvedic prescriptions and maintain a balanced life with healthy habits. Enrich your mind and body with a balanced and controlled ayurvedic life style. The main aspect of ayurvedic skin care treatment is the ayurvedic diet prescribed by the ayurveda doctor or consultant. Diet plays an important role in skin care and is also the basic of all ayurvedic treatments. Without enough nourishment, your skin would never show up that glaze and would look really below par. Try to intake food that provides enough nourishment, there by increasing the health and look of your skin. Try to eat fresh and organic foods that are prepared in the best way. Try to avoid ready made foods, which might contain other impurities, which may harm your skin and health.

Also try to consume leafy vegetables that are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidant properties. Sweet juicy fruits like melons, grapes, pears, plums and stewed apples at breakfast are highly recommended for better skin care and beauty. Uses spices like turmeric, coriander, cumin and black pepper which helps in the proper digestion of food. Also try to avoid microwaving and boiling your vegetables, as the vegetables may lose their antioxidant content when it is boiled or micro waved. The best way to cook your vegetables for a better skin is through steaming.
